Greenwich Safe Cycling (GSC) is a non-profit organization, affiliated with the League of American Bicyclists and supported by a spectrum of town residents, including serious cyclists and recreational riders of all ages. Together with town leaders we are working to make Greenwich, CT a community where bicycling is a convenient and comfortable mode of transportation. We have been instrumental in the preparation of a Bicycle Master Plan with the Deptartment of Public Works, and are leading the effort to make sure it's updated and implemented. GSC is also actively developing safe cycling routes in protected areas throughout Greenwich, and bike lanes wherever roads meet width requirements.

Increasing participation in the annual GSC sponsored Mother's Day Ride for Greenwich has helped to demonstrate the rising local interest in biking, and the need for safe cycling initiatives to become a town priority. The active evaluation and resurfacing of our roads exhibits the need for support right now! Newly paved streets offer a special opportunity for wider shoulder striping and marked bike lanes. Be a part of Greenwich Safe Cycling, have a voice in town planning and enjoy the ride!
